There was a solitary Vesper Sparrow seen at work today. It was foraging
along the fence-line and was easy to ID, as big as it was. I had a good view
for about 5 minutes.

The early flycatcher I reported last month turned out to be a Say's Phoebe
and there have been 2 of them consistently feeding around our work compound
daily since I asked about them. And I was able to get decent photos. Several
Killdeer arrived about a week later. It has been fun watching them engage in
springtime activities around the retention pond behind our admin building.

Other than that, it's the usual visitors. My yard has 12-15 Eurasian
Collared Doves daily, along with the usual cast of Goldfinches, Pine Siskens, House
Finches, WB Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Juncos, House Sparrows, Downy
Woodpecker (M&F), Starlings, Robins, RW Blackbirds (M&F), oodles of Flickers,
Sharp-shinned Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Lincoln's Sparrow's (2), Kestral, and Ravens
galore.

My friend 2 blocks North of me, said she has seen a male Lazuli Bunting, but
I haven't seen one myself yet. Seems early for them too. She also sees
very insistent Scrub Jay's daily, who tap on her door if the food gets low, and
I never see a Scrub Jay in my yard. So 2 blocks may make a difference. Who
knows.
