[Birdnet] Identify bird

Hi,
I have a bird hanging out in my backyard that I cannot identify.? It kind of looks like a Grouse.? It's head looks like a female Franklin with red spots above his eyes.? It's underparts are a dark reddish brown but with no spots. His back and sides are more rufous and white. I haven't seen him fly. Sometimes he ruffles up his tail feathers and they are black underneath.I live just below the foothills in Provo just north of Timpview High school. My neighbors have seen this bird in their yards to and none of us can identify it.
