We found the Prothonotary Warbler at the International Center this
morning about 7:30. It was in the Russian Olive tree previously
described, and returned to this same tree 3 times after flying off for
brief periods.
A Pectoral Sandpiper was in the pond south of the first bridge on the
Antelope Island Causeway this morning. We did not see it again when
leaving early this afternoon.
And as Tim noted, a Black-and-white Warbler was found near the
Springhouse at Garr Ranch (Antelope Island).
This afternoon we searched for the possible Philadelphia Vireo reported
at the Jordan River Parkway, but had no luck. We did see Wilson's,
Nashville, Orange-crowned, Yellow, MacGillivray's, and Yellow-rumped
Warblers; Warbling Vireos; Gray, Hammond's and Cordilleran Flycatchers;
several Common Grackles; and the Green Heron at the pond.
