[Birdnet] Southwestern Rarities Update & Pics

Thanks to Kris for posting our sighting!  As mentioned, Glenn Barlow and I
headed down to southwestern Utah to try for the cormorant on Tuesday morning,
and do a little birding around Washington County today.  Here are the
highlights (pictures of Lawrence's Goldfinch at the bottom):

09/04 Quichipa Lake 11:30am - 12:30pm
  1 - NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (on fence line in water! YES!!!!!)
  14 - Baird's Sandpiper

09/04 Kolob Terrace (Kolob Reservoir, and part of Lava Point) 2 - 4pm
  1 - ZONE-TAILED HAWK (seen briefly by me over the gorge)
  6? - California Condor
  1 - Lewis's Woodpecker (juv, near the ranger's residence)
  1 - Wood Duck (M in eclipse plumage at the res)

I could be convinced this is a different bird.  The head pattern differs
slightly, and the breast of this bird didn't have nearly as much yellow as the
first one!  We were at Bob's about 10 minutes when the bird cam in and fed for
about 10 minutes before disappearing for an hour.  It came back and stayed for
10 minuted again before flying off into the pinyon.  Unreal to see this species
2 times in Utah in a year, 5 months apart!  Thanks to Bob!
