I headed north today - to Beus Park in Ogden, then to Willard, Willard
Bay, Kaysville Ponds, and Glover Lane. I didn't get my target birds -
Beus Park was packed with people, so the owls weren't showing
themselves, I didn't have enough info or time to spend the 3+ hours in
Willard looking for the blue jay, the hooded merganser wasn't at the
pond north of Willard Bay SP. . . but I did get to photograph this
Stellar's jay in Beus Park (Ogden), there were still Bonaparte's gulls
at Willard, and buffleheads and numerous RT hawks on Glover Lane. It
was a gorgeous day to be out, even though not all birds were
cooperative.
