[Birdnet] Ya'all Missed the Fun!

The Antelope Island Causeway was way too much fun today. The bikers
going by said, "Man, those people really get into that birdwatching."
I ran into Sommerfelds at the bridge closest to the island, and they
were enjoying the Bonaparte's Gulls and scanning for oddities. Steve
was on a juvenile Sabine's Gull. Very nice. After a visit to Garr Ranch
(very dead except for a Burrowing Owl on the way and a Great Horned Owl
asleep on the job above the spring), I headed back to the Causeway and
found Sommerfelds again along with Paul Higgins and Jack Binch. I
figured they were on to something good. Steve located a Surf Scoter,
and a few minutes later, Paul (eagle eyes) spotted a male Long-Tailed
Duck in flight that put down a ways out on the south side of the
bridge. Not long after, Steve spotted a White-winged Scoter which
landed close to the Surf Scoter, then took off heading northeast. I
hope I have remembered the proper credits for all of the cool birds.
Steve also saw a couple of female Barrow's Goldeneyes. One of the
passing bikers was no other than Colby Neuman, who had also spotted the
Long-Tailed Duck from his bike. Amazing.

That was 3 year birds for me in a matter of minutes. Thanks to all the
great eyes who contributed to a very enjoyable day. We look forward to
some photos, Paul and Jack.
