For those of you interested in the future of Antelope Island, I want to invite you to participate in the process of the following information.
The Division of Utah State Parks and Recreation is developing a resource management plan (RMP) for Antelope Island State Park. The RMP will identify issues relating to public use, resource management and future development at the park and will make recommendations to guide park managers for the next ten years.
May 30, 2007 - 7:00 pm, Utah Department of Natural Resource Building, 1594 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, room 1050
This is open to everyone, especially the public. This process will probably not come up again for another 20-30 years. I encourage you to attend and let them know your concerns, wishes and issues for the island. Please come and let your voice be heard. This can only help us in managing the park for public use. If you have questions concerning the process contact Rock Smith at (801) 538-7207. If you have other questions, feel free to contact me.
