thanks for the amusing story and lovely photos. as i watch birds fly (using
binoculars, of course) from the trees in my yard to my neighbor's trees,
I've often thought that some day my neighbors my be concerned that I'm
peeping into their homes. I'm just waiting for the day...
no new birds to report from my yard, but one evening i saw 4 American
Goldfinches (3 male, 1 female), 5 Bullock's Orioles (3 males, 2 females), 8
Western Kingbirds and 3 or 4 male House Finches all perched along the power
lines beside my house, each of them singing their little hearts out for a
good 5 minutes or more. It was quite a treat to hear and see all of them
lined up together as I have never seen those species perch together for such
a long time before.
