[Birdnet] Three-toed Pervert

I left work early today and wanted to get up to Monte Cristo and scout out the woodpeckers and sapsuckers Kris Purdy reported yesterday.  My plan was to scout them out and return tomorrow morning,blind up, and get some pictures tomorrow.
   
  Kris forgot to mention that one of the American Three-toed Woodpecker nests was within four feet of the restroom about eight feet high.  I located the cavity and started taking pictures. I used the rest room as my blind, peeking around the corner.  I had the female come in and was feeding the youngster's when two woman walked out of the restroom right into my lap.  One let out a squeal.  There they were, coming out of the restroom with me pointing and focusing my camera almost right at them, taking pictures.  Needles to say...that's all I got.  I'm just glad they didn't call the Sheriff...Thanks Kris.
   
  I get quite a few e-mails with people wanting to know what equipment I use.  These were shot with a Nikon 300mm f4.0 AF-S lens with a D-200 Nikon body at 10 to 15 feet(handheld).
