Nevada and Utah birders,

I'm a little late on this request, but it's time again to submit your spring
bird sightings for inclusion in North American Birds (ABA's 'Quarterly
Journal of Ornithological Record').
http://www.americanbirding.org/pubs/nab/. Please send details on all vagrant
birds, seasonally or regional rare species, unusual high (or low) numbers,
etc. observed from March 1, 2007 to May 31, 2007. Details (and photographs)
on observations of state review birds are very much appreciated. I've
contacted some of you already regarding photographs, and encourage anyone
with nice images of good birds to drop me an email. Josh Kreitzer helped out
this season compiling the spring database. Many of you correctly assume we
monitor the listserves and receive much of the information you post there,
however it is often difficult to glean details of the sightings from these
posts (e.g. observers, how long a rare bird sticks around, etc.). The only
way to ensure your sightings are correctly included is to submit details in
your quarterly reports. Information on submitting reports can be found at
the following sites http://www.americanbirding.org/pubs/nab/guidelines.html
and http://www.gbbo.org/submit.htm . Many thanks to those who have already
submitted their reports, and I look forward to hearing from more of you.

Enjoy the summer birding.

Best Regards,

Rick Fridell
