Thanks, Matt. Today it was seen again on many occasions, by the Sommerfelds, Candy (sorry I don't remember your last name), Dennis Shirley, Lu Giddings, Merrill Webb and Glenn Barlow.  It was hanging out quite low, even feeding on beetles from the ground.  Lovely bird!  No sign of the Scarlet Tanager or the Red-shouldered Hawk.

A few quick additional notes regarding the Painted
Bunting. Kris Purdy informs me that it is illegal to
keep them as caged birds, so nobody will be speaking
up even if they lost one. Let's assume it's wild! 

Also, a correction, the bird was first spotted HIGH in
the trees.
