Sheppard Bottom, Parker, Johnson and Wyasket Bottoms are all dry. Half of
Leota Bottom is also dry, not much for viewing waterbirds. But good
viewing on other things: 60+ elk w/calves, pronghorns w/triplets, my first
sighting of a badger on the Refuge, and lots of blue grosbeaks and Lazuli
buntings today. The following birds were seen within the survey route:

Redhead 4

Great blue heron 42

Black-crowned night heron 5
