Well, almost.....
Paul Higgins was on the bird when I arrived at Glover Lane at 8 this morning, in the midst of taking many mega-bytes of pictures! We watched the bird until 8:30 AM when a Bald Eagle flew overhead and the bird headed for parts unknown.
Paul told me that there had been a couple of kestrels that had breakfast on their minds, but the longspur had managed to avoid them.
Ain't birding great!

A hardy group of birders were out and about at Glovers Lane and Farmington Bay WMA this morning in search of the longspur. As of 11am the bird had not been seen.
Good Birding
