[Birdnet] Possible Snowy Owl Sighting

Hey y'all --
This post doesn't have a thing to do with the possible Snowy at the
R.D.C. However, talk of this being waterfowl season leads me to ask if
I'm the only birder that has ever executed a complete - and if I may
say so, very well done and stealthy - stalk on a flock of ducks
sitting on an out of the way little pond? And, after patting myself on
the back for being the sneakiest guy in at least the entire
intermountain area, got to wondering why those ducks haven't so much
as blinked since being first seen at least 1/2 an hour ago? These are
either the most cooperative ducks in the country, or they're -- plastic!
If you haven't experienced this kind of oops, give it a try.
Guaranteed to deflate an ego in a N.Y. second. Been there.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kuwanza, and Sunny Solstice to all!
