Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge
Waterbird/Raptor Survey

Total number of waterfowl around 59,000.  This is actually a record high
number for December.  Monthly high counts also for pintail, green-winged
teal, gadwall, canvasback, kestrel and short-eared owl.  First December
record of greater yellowlegs (closed area).  All units greater than 50%
frozen.

The following birds were observed from the auto-tour route:
