Hi all,

Just a note - I was at Fish Springs Monday and Tuesday
and had 1 juv. Red Crossbill perched on the flag pole
beside the main office, and foraging in the olive
trees nearby. There was also an Eastern Kingbird in
the area - perched on a sign halfway between the
office and Thomas Ranch. Not much else in the office
area at the time other than ~8-10 Western Tanagers and
about the same number of Lazuli Buntings.

Around Thomas Ranch were a few Nashville Warblers and
Western Wood Pewees along with the typical stuff. A
Great Horned Owl (pretty regular in these trees) was
there as well. No sign of the Painted Bunting,
although it was late in the evening (and it seems to
be gone).

Cheers,

Matt Mills
