I hiked to Cecret Lake at Albion Basin today and saw quite a few birds. Just north of the restrooms near the parking lot I saw several RED CROSSBILLS and PINE GROSBEAKS high in the trees. Behind Cecret Lake towards the basin I saw 2 CLARK'S NUTCRACKERS and 1 BLUE GROUSE. The trail around the lake offered exceptional numbers of birds, including AMERICAN PIPITS.
Other notables:
* Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's)
* Orange-crowned Warbler
* Yellow Warbler
* Ruby-crowned Kinglet
* Dark-eyed Junco (Oregon)
* White-crowned Sparrow
* Mountain Chickadee
* Hairy Woodpecker
* Rock Wren
* Steller's Jay
* Rufous Hummingbird
* Broad-tailed Hummingbird
* American Robin
* Cassin's Finch
