[Birdnet] Krider's vs. Harlan's

I just wanted to note that the bird Ryan O'Donnell posted is an adult light
Harlan's, which raises a tough ID issue. It can be extremely difficult to
tell krider's from harlan's....especially juveniles. In fact, it is
impossible to tell the race of some light juveniles. Harlan's are much more
common than krider's in Utah, but that doesn't mean the krider's reported in
Utah are not genuine. Just a note that the two can be very similar and that
ID's are not always "cut and dry". Another issue is that most krider's are
not fully white-headed and almost completely unmarked underneath....many
show a mix of traits typical to true Westerns or Easterns. Also, juvenile
Red-tails in spring can be pale headed due to extensive fading.
