There is a nice little white-phase Ross' goose at the Stonebridge Golf Course in West Valley City. It was hanging out with a flock of Canada geese (but no Cacklers--grrr...) in the narrow pond stretching between Lake Park Blvd (2400 South) and Parkway Blvd west of Bangerter Hwy. One accesses the golf course /business park off of Bangerter. One can stay off of the golf course by taking a sidewalk that runs along the west bank of the canal. Note that there are other lakes there, and so the goose may move about (it did fly a wee bit). But that's where it was this afternoon about 1:30 pm. There was also a Pied-billed grebe--delightful if not rare.
