Brian Currie reports that the RED-NECKED GREBE is still in the northeast corner of Willard Bay in Box Elder County as of this afternoon around 3:00 pm. He saw the bird swimming approximately 75 yards west of the campground and 100 yards south of the north dike.

In addition, Brian and Arthur Morris saw five PURPLE MARTINS on Forest Street, the road to Bear River Refuge. The three males and two females were on power lines on the north side of the road just west of the former temporary information center. This is a popular spot where swallows congregate and is the same area where the Fulvous Whistling-ducks were reported in January. The road is accessed from I-15 exit 363 and the location is approximately 1/2 to 3/4 miles west of the interstate.

Brian visited the spot again this afternoon, but didn't see the martins again.
