Please see the message below from Keith Evans regarding a RED-THROATED LOON seen today near Willard Bay in Box Elder County. My attempt to forward to the list serv the photo Keith mentions didn't work and therefore, I've sent it to our webmaster for posting on Utah Birds. In addition, I can send the photo to anyone who replies to this post.
To reach the canal where Wasatch Audubon saw the bird this morning, take I-15 to Exit 357, Willard Bay. Turn west toward the park, but instead of then turning left (south) into the park entrance, turn right (north) on the dirt road that parallels the interstate for a short time. The road curves west and becomes rough and potholed at times. Follow the road west until it ends at the canal and trailer house Keith mentions below.

Subject: Red-throated Loon
Today, May 17, the WAS Wednesday Birders saw what we identified as a Red-throated Loon in winter plumage. Weird huh? The bird was in the canal on the north side of Willard Bay dam. There is a road running down to a trailer house that is part of a duck club. We were at the area where boats are launched. I'm attaching a photo for your review. Keith
