Birders,
Visited Antelope Island yesterday with Glenn Barlow.
Found more than 50 Black-bellied Plovers still in the
area north of mile-marker 6 along with one Dunlin and
what we thought looked like Whimbrels off to the
north. Would appreciate any confirmation on others
seeing this species. To the south of the road from
the same marker we observed 7-8 Snowy Plovers, at
least one on a nest. Visited Garr Ranch in a
fruitless search for the waterthrush, but did find two
Eastern Kingbirds foraging along the fenceline east of
the barn. Only two other common warblers. Pretty
slow.
