Hi,
I went out birding yesterday. Started at Bear River, but I did not see
anything special.
Next was to see the Calliope at the North Arm that Kris reported. I
followed the direct trail and just at the point where you will get you feet wet for
the first time was a Northern Waterthrush. I think I saw a pretty large brown
lurking nearby but did not have my flyrod. I found the southern Calliope and
also found I had a full memory card after just a couple of shots.
On to Garr Ranch where I found several warblers that have already been
posted and another Northern Waterthrush in the bog east of the spring pond.
Back on the causeway I ran into Kris and with the aid of her spotting scope,
forgot mine, I got my second look at a Red Knot. This one was at about mile
5.5. We moved to mile 6 and Kris found another Red Knot. This was about 7:30
PM.
Now where is the rest of my fishing equipment?
Jack Binch
