Greetings CBC campers,

Cache Valley had an enjoyable and interesting count yesterday. Our goal for
years has been to get to 100 species, but again it was not to be. We very
seldom get as many species as you southerners, but we almost always have the
most participants and several area leaders have been covering their part of
the circle for 25 years or more.

We found 96 species. Highlights were 6 Gulls, 7 Owls. I'll let you ponder
which species. Other hot items were Great Egret, American White Pelican,
Varied Thrush, and Vesper Sparrow.

It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it. Hope you have as much fun as
we did. Keith Archibald.
