[Birdnet] Nice day, few birds

I did the Davis County loop today, but didn't find my target birds. The
causeway was really quiet; the bridge closest to the island had the
usual suspects - both goldeneyes, buffleheads, ring-necked ducks. I
couldn't find scoters or the long-tailed duck. Paul Higgins' burrowing
owl was also a no-show. It looked like the Dept. of Corrections was
supervising some work detail at Garr Ranch, so that didn't work out
either. Next stop was at the Kaysville ponds. Nice collection of ducks,
but no hoodies. Farmington Bay was next for eagles - no eagles where I
went. There were a large number of swans at Farmington Bay, including a
juvenile Tundra with the red bill that is shown on p. 13. of the big,
thick National Geographic reference guide. That was kind of
interesting. Harriers and kestrels were everywhere. Glover Lane was
closed, so a detour was necessary. So basically, I took a long drive.
It was a pretty day, at least.
