[Birdnet] Cackling-type geese still there

The four Cackling-like geese reported some days back were still at the Stonebridge Golf Course in West Valley City this afternoon ca. 2pm, near the long pond paralleling Bangerter (same place I reported the Ross' goose earlier). I've not had a chance to download my photos to look at them, nor did I have time to even scope the geese this afternoon, as I was on my way elsewhere, but the four geese are considerably smaller than the Canadas around them and at least one seemed to have a fairly round head with shorter bill. Interestingly, one of the four is considerably paler than the other three. Like I said, I've not had a chance to ponder the likely subspecies beyond a bemused "Hmmm, would these be parviceps or taverni? Or could they be something else entirely?" I may try again tomorrow with a bit more equipment in tow and more than a couple minutes to ponder the possibilities. Maybe we could get Paul Higgins out there to photograph these guys down to the color of their
irises, ...just because he can. ;o)
