[Birdnet] Ruby-crowned Kinglet's displaying

I went back to Beus Pond yesterday morning, after the snowstorm, hoping that Kris Purdy's Worm-eating Warbler might still be around. No luck, unable to locate.

While standing and watching in the fresh snow, I noticed two Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Both were displaying red crowns. A sight I have not often seen, let alone photographed.

In total, I saw three kinglets, all three were displaying and continued all the time I was there. I wondered if it had something to do with the cold temperatures(about 20 degrees). Has anyone else witnessed this? I would appreciate any comments.
